June 8 for $10 Card II

This card is made with another Stampin' Up! retiring stamp set, Life's a Breeze. Again, I was inspired by this card and changed up the color scheme a bit by using the DSDSP from way back during Sale-A-Bration. I am still trying to use that paper up!

I have some other DSDSP that I need to use up, so I made some more of these cards for my own personal use with a brighter color scheme. I forget the name of the DSDSP. I even decorated the envelope with it. Thanks for stopping by!

June 8 for $10 Card I

Here's the first card we made at the June 8 for $10 workshop a few weeks ago. It was a tribute to some of the stamp sets that will be retired from Stampin' Up! as of Wednesday.

Any of you who attend my workshops know that I do not claim to be creative. I need to have something to inspire me or at least get me started on a project. Either it's a card, a sketch challenge, patterned paper to give me a color scheme, something! I don't do well with a blank slate. My card was inspired by this larger card in the Splitcoast Stampers gallery for this stamp set. Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Camp Wrap Up

Thank you to all the ladies who attended the June Stamp Camp at my house on Saturday morning! I think everyone had a great time, and I hope you all enjoy using your beautiful scripture cards in the coming weeks. Here's a close up picture of the fourth main card from the workshop. It was inspired by this card. The other three can be seen in this previous post. Thanks for stopping by!

June Stamp Camp Change

Due to various reasons, I'm going make a little change to the Stamp Camp this Saturday and make it more like a monthly 8 for $10 workshop.

Instead of making 15 cards for $20, you will make two each of four scriptural card designs for $10. (Scroll down to the previous post to see them.) If you'd like to make more, you are welcome to! Just tell me when you RSVP. Join me here at my house Saturday morning, June 27th at 9am. Please RSVP by Wednesday, June 24th. Have a great week! Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Stamp Camp I

The Summer Stamp Camp I will be a Stamp-a-Stack event with scriptural based cards. I've had a few requests for this type of project, so here's your chance to stock your writing desk with many beautiful uplifting cards! You can see close ups of three of the five cards here. (Oops! I forgot to add where my inspiration for these cards came from. I added the links to the original cards after the original post.)

June 8 for $10 Workshops are this week!

Don't forget that the June 8 for $10 Workshops are this week! Here's a sneak peek at the four cards we'll be making. Last Chance Stamp Sets will be the focus of the evening. They're only available until June 30th. Come and make some fun summer cards and a few that are perfect for Father's Day!

Please RSVP ASAP to let me know which workshop you'll be attending: Thursday at 7pm or Friday at 9am. I especially need an accurate count for the daytime workshop so that I know how many teen sitters to have on hand.

Also, next Saturday, the 27th, is the June Stamp Camp, a Stamp-A-Stack event where we'll be making cards with scripture verses as the focus. I'll post pictures of projects soon! Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Stamping Events

I have finally set some dates for summer stamping workshops, so mark them on your calendar! Hopefully I won't have to change them, but if something comes up, I'll let you all know.

This summer I am going to offer a Daytime 8 for $10 workshop in the months of June, July and August. I will have some responsible local teens on hand to referee the kids, so you're welcome to bring your children along to play while the moms stamp! There will be a small charge for the babysitting services so that we can make it worth the teens' time for being here.

The Evening 8 for $10 workshops will continue this summer as well along with two Stamp Camps on Saturdays. Watch future posts for project information! The first Stamp Camp will be a stamp-a-stack event. I've had requests for scripture-based cards, so we'll do something like 4 each of 5 card designs. Everyone will go home with a stack of lovely and thoughtful cards!

Dates are listed on the right side of this page under "Upcoming Stamping Events". As I solidify project plans, I'll be posting pictures so that you can see what we'll be crafting! Hope you're enjoying your summer so far! Thanks for stopping by!

More PreK fall teacher gifts

Here's the other gift I mentioned yesterday. Again, they're the same, but done with different patterned papers and similar color schemes. Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

PreK fall teacher gifts

Last week I showed you some preschool teacher gifts that my son gave his teachers now that he's finished with preschool. I came across these pictures of the gifts we gave them last fall to start off the year. I never posted them on my blog, so I am showing them to you now.

I made a card purse and filled it with a post-it note coaster pad with coordinating pen, mini notebook with matching pen, mini Hershey bar, and covered pack of Hershey's kissables. I thought these turned out really cute. Tomorrow I'll show you the other one, which is very similar but in a different patterned paper scheme. Thanks for stopping by!
